Who is behind EITC by State

Radif Partners

Independent publisher of a calculator that adds the federal earned income credit, the state earned income credits and the child tax credit for one household, from the IRS revenue procedures and the state tax codes

EITC by State is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free reference tools on public rules. This one exists because a working family's credits come from three places, the IRS, the state and the child tax credit, and each official source shows only its own part. The IRS tools do not compute state credits, and each state explains only its own. We read the texts and add them up for one household.

What the site does

The main calculator gives the federal earned income credit from the IRS table, the state credit for any of the 50 states and the District of Columbia, and the child tax credit split into its refundable and nonrefundable parts, for tax year 2025 or 2026. Other tools read a line of the IRS table, run the eligibility tests, rank the states for one household, and compute the child tax credit and the saver's credit. Each state with a credit has a page with its rule and amounts.

Where the figures come from

Federal amounts from the IRS revenue procedures, forms, instructions and publications, and from the Internal Revenue Code; state rules from each state's tax department or legislature. Every figure carries its source and the date we read it. When a figure is not yet published, the site says "not yet published" rather than guessing. The method page describes the checks.

What we are not

We are not the IRS or a state tax department, we are not affiliated with either, and we do not prepare or file returns. We work for no tax preparation company and link to none. We give no tax advice: the calculators apply published rules to the figures you enter.

How the site is paid for

Nothing is sold here and there is no affiliate link. If advertising is added one day, it will never sit inside a calculator, and it cannot use what you type, which never leaves your browser.

Tell us when something is wrong

The IRS adjusts its figures every year and states change their credits often. If a figure differs from the official text, write to contact@eitcbystate.com with the page. The editorial policy explains how a correction is made and dated. The site has 54 pages of calculators and guides.
